The "TAKADUM ORCHESTRA PULVO

The "TAKADUM ORCHESTRA is a project conceived in the early summer of 2007. After one of the many wise men of my year-end courses in the school of ethnic dances darbuka Sanli, I decided not to waste any material prepared for these occasions but to use it to create an ensemble of percussionists - strictly amateur! - That would be stable over time, a reality in the Arab music for dance and more. The orchestra, consisting of a variable number of items, from 7 to 15, playing traditional musical instruments of North Africa and Near East (darbuka, daf, riq, davul, etc..) Compositions, all original, are located within the Arabic music to dance and folklore of the different types of Arabic, but not giving up a job of contamination with other music of the Mediterranean, from southern Italy to Greece. Since its inception, the Orchestra has already performed for dance performances in some Eastern Roman theaters and outdoor events ("La Notte Bianca", Rome, 2007). The decision to move part of professionalism was not consciously desired and pursued. Too often projects and musical ideas, even brilliant, you are stuck and extinct in the face of economic calculations or the commitments of too many people like me, moreover, makes the music their profession. In the case of Takadum Orchestra, and have been preferred, experience and technical skills, enthusiasm and spontaneity of those who play only for passion and .......... to see 'as a person!
